Latinas Contra Cancer Board Chair Sandra Madrigal Invites You to #NLCS2018 !

Join us at the 6th Biennial National Latino Cancer Summit!

July 29 – July 31, 2018 in San Fransisco, CA

The impact of cancer on a heterogeneous Latino community is still a puzzle. Not only is the Latino population under-researched, but the effect that the differences in lifestyle, environment and genetic variation among Latinos have on cancer incidence/risk and prognosis are mostly unknown. More than 1 in 5 Latino deaths is caused by cancer, the number one cause of mortality in a population of 57 million people in this country. At least a third are continually challenged by income, language and cultural barriers. This year we will come together to discuss the impact of cancer on the Latino community and the unique barriers Latinos face to accessing prevention, care and support.  This summit will bridge science, research, populations and people.

We look forward to delivering another great Summit program packed with cutting edge panel discussions and interesting and diverse presentations. See this year’s agenda!
