Now Contracted Through Medi-Cal for Community Health Worker Services!
Latinas Contra Cancer is proud to provide Community Health Worker (CHW) services as part of our deep commitment to health justice and grassroots advocacy. As a health justice organization, we recognize that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Our CHWs are trusted community leaders with lived experience who provide culturally and linguistically responsive support, specializing in health education, patient navigation, and advocacy.
Providing CHW services through a health justice lens means addressing the root causes of health inequities—systemic barriers, racial and economic disparities, and the social determinants of health that disproportionately impact our communities. Our CHWs work directly with individuals who face challenges such as language barriers, lack of insurance, and financial hardship, ensuring they can access essential healthcare services, cancer screenings, and vital resources such as food, housing, and financial assistance.
As a contracted provider of CHW services through Medi-Cal, LCC is expanding access to quality care by breaking down these systemic barriers and strengthening community-led solutions. By fostering relationships built on trust and shared lived experiences, we are not just helping individuals navigate the healthcare system—we are building collective power to create lasting change and dismantle inequities in healthcare.
